Betty Lather, 85, of Napoleon passed away on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Napoleon, Ohio on April 21, 1939, to John and Margaret (Detmer) Funchion. Betty married Lawrence "Larry" Lather on September 29, 1958, in Napoleon. Betty worked in the office at Campbell's Soup for 31 years. For many years, Betty volunteered her time to the Red Cross and blood mobiles. She tended bar at the Moose Lodge for 20 years and loved socializing with friends and patrons. She was an avid bowler for many years and traveled the states with her team. Betty loved spending time with her late husband, Larry, and family, at their cottage at Nettle Lake. Betty loved watching all sports, but mostly her Ohio State Buckeyes and Cleveland Indians. She enjoyed watching her sons, granddaughters and great grandkids play sports. When Betty wasn't enjoying the outdoors, working, volunteering, or watching a sporting event, she was socializing and playing cards.
