David "Dave" Lee Hohenberger, 78, of Cleveland, Ohio, passed away March 1, 2025, in Cleveland.He was born Nov. 18, 1946, to Ray and Verona Hohenberger in Holgate, Ohio. David graduated from Holgate High School in 1964 and The University of Toledo in 1970. On May 29, 1971, he married Linda Cogswell from Hillsdale, Michigan.He retired from the City of Toledo as a land surveyor and later had his own surveying business. He was an avid outdoor enthusiast. Dave was a charter boat captain on Lake Erie for many years.But he loved his last five years the best, living on Lake Norman, North Carolina, viewing the beautiful sunsets.Dave is survived by his wife, Linda; sons, John (Leah) and Greg (Kara); daughter-in-law, Jessica (Juan); grandchildren, Tanith, Braden, Finley and Maddy; sister, Sharon Drewes of Holgate, and Linda and Dave's three dogs, Gracie, Cooper and Olive.He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Juanita (Lavon) Speiser, Joan (Thomas) Ward, Joyce (Robert) Romes; and broth
